Oracle Flow Builder , a keyword based test automation framework is born during 2012 and has been evolved from then to support with integration of the automation tool, OpenScript and its fully functional testing capabilities for eBS ERP Oracle Forms and OAF pages.


End-Users build Components,Flows in Oracle Flow Builder framework to generate direct java code  that can be directly used for test execution in OpenScript / OATS tool.

Oracle Flow builder is built such that - No Coding required by end-users.
One can drag and drop the components to build a logical test flow related to any usecase or testcase and generate test script that is directly executed in OATS automation tool.

Oracle Flow Builder is NOT built for Oracle FUSION APPS.

Since eBS is based on different framework ( OAF ) and Fusion is built on ADF framework.

Select "FUNCTIONCALL" AS KEYWORD,
AND respective desired <METHOD NAME> AS OBJECT AND PASS THE PARAMETERS AS DESCRIBED IN USAGE OF OFB USER GUIDE.

OATS InstallBrowser script run with 64-bit version will install OATS plugin to Firefox 64-bit.

As on today's date,

Oracle Test Manager - OTM

Oracle Functional Testing - OFT ( Part of OATS tool for functional testing of applications )

OTM and OFT is licensed based on a NAMED USERS PLUS metric, this means that anyone who will use these products (regardless of how much or little) will need a license.

If the customer is testing NON-Oracle apps, they can purchase 'Oracle Functional Testing' from the TECH price list for $8K/Named User + support and maintenance.

OTM is licensed from the TECH price list and costs $2k / Named User + support and maintenance.

If however the customer is testing Oracle apps, like EBS, Fusion, JDE etc...or any application using Oracle UI technologies like FORMS or ADF, they need to license 'Oracle Functional Testing Suite for Oracle Applications' from the APPS price lists.The license is $12k/Named User + support and maintenance.
